In helping
to transform an idea into an actual product, we are often also involved
in the design of the product, the specification of the TEPEX® material
and the assessment of its economic efficiency.
The many different possible combinations of materials that we have, means
a product can genuinely be optimised. The scope for such optimisation may
involve its mechanical strength, its ease of processing and/or economic
efficiency.

bicycle parts (brake levers, pedals, derailleur parts), ski reinforcements
etc.

Automotive Bond-Laminates is involved in a variety
of projects throughout the automotive industry. TEPEX® is the
ideal material for all instances where the weight of structural components
needs to be reduced. TEPEX® components can moreover be manufactured
rapidly and reproducibly – even on a volume production scale.
The thermoplastic matrix of TEPEX® provides considerably more
design scope for working with this material, as welding and back or
insert moulding are possible. A further advantage: TEPEX® material
can easily be recycled. Application examples: bumper beams, crash
cones and structural components.
