Most TEPEX® products can
be cut with a straightforward sheet slicer. Depending on the type
and quantity of material, the following cutting methods can be used
for more complicated cuts:

Slicer: only for straight cuts, standard method for sheets
·
Die-cutting with forged knife blade: rapid method; low investment
for thin sheets (<1.0 mm)
·
Die-cutting with shear edge tools: for thick sheets, economical
for large production runs
·
Water jet cutting: suitable for small to medium production
runs; less so for aramid-reinforced material, as high level
of water absorption
·
Laser cutting: somewhat faster than water jet cutting, less
suitable for carbon
·
Ultrasonic cutting: very suitable for aramid-reinforced material
and for thinner sheets (< 0,5 mm)
