History

The first materials of the present-day TEPEX family were created in the early 1990s in the research laboratories of the DuPont company. Today, the TEPEX® product range represents a benchmarkamong thermoplastic fibre composite materials. In 1997 the materials experts Jochen Bauder and Joost van Lindert, who had played a pivotal role in the development process, acquired all sales andtechnology rights to TEPEX® through a management buy-out. In 2000 Centrotec Sustainable AG (Brilon, Germany) acquired an interest in the company. This was one of the key developments in thesuccess story of the new company Bond-Laminates, now one of the world's leading composite semifinished product (advanced composite) developers, manufacturers and distributors. Bond-Laminates'operations are now based in Brilon, where it has three continuous production plants with a capacity of 2.000 t and its own materials and prototypes development laboratory.
